I had not slept (while using several sleep medications with no success) for more than four months for over a year and was truly at my wit's end when I was referred to Kiron Sleep Disorders Center by my internist who indicated that he liked their "set up." My night in the clinic was uneventful though miserable as I slept very little. Within approximately one week, I had my follow-up with Dr. Soo -- my spouse accompanied me. We were both positively impressed by his thoroughness, specificity and attentiveness. Results indicated that I did not have sleep apnea and I asked for possible solutions to my chronic insomnia. Dr. Soo indicated that acupuncture is effective in some patients. Though Dr. Soo is a licensed acupuncturist, there was no pressure to pursue this option within his practice or with any other practice. My spouse and I discussed it and decided "why not?" Steer clear of Kiron Sleep and Dr. Soo! I am a well-educated man and Dr. Soo spoke to me as if I were an idiot. When I asked him questions about my condition and his diagnosis, he got irritated as if I was wasting his time. Also, he barks orders at his staff in the same belittling tone of voice. The office manager, which I believe is his wife, is just as rude. I will NEVER go back nor recommend Dr. Soo/Kiron Sleep Lab.

Visiting Michael Soo was one of the worst experiences I could ever fathom as a patient. He was extraordinarily rude, unprofessional, and inconsiderate. When asked what a specific term meant he replied with "Look it up in the dictionary." He furthermore came across as condescending and insulting to a patient's intelligence. I am surprised as a medical professional myself that he is still in practice. I know where I work someone as himself would never get away with such behavior and would be fired immediately.
