On Sunday afternoon I tried to buy gas from this station. I was using my MasterCard Debit Card, as a credit purchase at the pump. I inserted the card, entered my zip code as requested, and pressed enter. It would do nothing. I pressed the help key several times and no one would respond, and all that would happen was they would cancel the transaction. My sister was at the pump on the opposite side of the island and was having the same problem. She walked into the station and had a rude young lady tell her to do what we were doing. She then finally began to speak to me over the intercom and I told her I was doing exactly what she was telling us to do, my sister then tried again and had the same problem I was having. The voice over the intercom then said we would have to come in and prepay. I responded that I was unable to do so, I have a walking problem, and her response was, "Have a nice day". We than went up the street to the Exxon station, purchased our gas, paying for it at the pump with no problems.



It may have been a problem with the BP credit system, but the girl could have been much kinder and more customer friendly. A simple, "I am sorry, we seem to be having a problem with the pump, would you please come in or I can come out", would have worked much better. I intend to tell everyone I know how my sister and I were treated at this station, and we will never attempt to buy gas at any BP again.



I did try to call the station at the number above, but the number has been disconnected! What a way to do business.
