Dr. Jon Skare attended Hamline University for his undergraduate degree in biology. He then took his love of science and helping people to the Univesity of Minnesota, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. He has been proudly serving patients in the Eagan, MN community since 1985. Dr. Skare’s decades of experience, specialized training, and state-of-the-art equipment allows him to offer you and your family the high level of care you deserve. Dr. Skare continues to learn everything he can about advances in modern dentistry. Since 2007, he has devoted himself to advanced training and education in CEREC technology and same-visit dental restorations. Dr. Skare also studied dental implantology extensively under Dr. Arun Garg, a leader in the field, and continues to update his knowledge of implant dentistry. Wood Park Dental is a family-owned and operated practice. Dr. Skare’s wife Cindy is our office manager, and his daughter Leah works at the front desk. His Puggle Ziggy runs his life outside of the practice as he is so high maintenance, but also very loyal.

Always a pleasure of have Dr. Jon Skare as our family's Primary Dentist

Always a pleasure to have Dr. Jon Skare DDS as our family's primary dentist for the past 20+ years !Very professional in his work !I recently had occasion to have two crowns installed . . . closest thing to painless as I can ever remember.Wood Park Dental has the latest equipment for crowns. The crown is being created, by in-house equipment,while Dr. Skare is preparing the location, in your mouth, for the installation. A crown can be completed from start to finish, in one, short, appointment session.My family of three would recommend Dr. Skare to anyone in need of a new dentist !

Best dentist I've ever had

Wood Park Dental (Dr. Jon Skare)has been my dentist for nearly 5 years. I can't say enough about his excellent work and professionalism. When he works on your teeth, its as if he is working on a family member. He is extremely particular and efficient. He has done crowns and fillings for me over the years, always taking care to match the color exactly to my own teeth. He has a special high tech machine for creating custom crowns in his office in one appointment, so I've never had to wait. The cost is no higher than my previous dentist who took weeks to create "the perfect crown." He also accepts what my insurance company pays, so that is very convenient and saves me money. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a new dentist or a dentist with a calm quiet manner who works for you!
