Hear is the headliner on their website: "Join us for the Treasure Valley's finest Sunday Brunch......."
Well folks, that was *the worst* Sunday Brunch I have ever had.
I took the wife there to give her the experience of a good ol' fashioned American Champagne Sunday Brunch. I ended up totally embarrassed.
They try to fool you by saying, "Reservations recommended", so you think, "Oh my gosh! This place must rock and gets packed every weekend!"
What a scam! The place was about 1/3 full, no chance of having to wait in line.
There is not much of an atmosphere, the brunch takes place in a banquet room overlooking the golf course.
To the food.:
They have a large selection of food, but most of it didn't look appetizing. Most was just very very low quality bulk frozen stuff. It is easier to describe what few things tasted good, than try to explain how almost everything tasted dull and cheap. Just imagine everything looks dried up, sad and lonely, like it's been sitting for a while.
The good: The biscuits were very good, just like you'd expect. We didn't try the gravy, opting to just butter them and add some jelly. The prime rib had pretty good flavor, even if it was well done and slightly chewy. The chocolate fondue fountain thing was cool, but the strawberries provided were rotten, literally. We found 1 single good one.
The really bad: They had an abundant raw veggie platter, sad, dried, and untouched. I saw a big fly hovering above it, then land and proceed to Rambo across the surface of the veggies. That was enough for me.......
The big insult was the price. I know Sunday Brunches are pricey, but you expect to get well fed with good quality stuff. This was $36.00 for two. We would have been FAR better off going downtown.
Conclusion: If you want "Sunday Brunch", there may not be any place in the whole state. A better idea would be to go to La Vie En Rose or Goldy's on Sunday and order a mimosa....
