Established on March 1952, Fort Hill Natural Gas Authority is a non-profit, tax-exempt entity and is authorized to issue tax-exempt municipal bonds to construct and expand natural gas distribution network and facilities. The firm sells, installs and services a line of natural gas appliances. Based in Easley, S.C., it serves the municipalities and outlying areas of Oconee, Pickens and portions of Anderson Counties. Fort Hill Natural Gas Authority serves approximately 38,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers in a three county service area. It maintains approximately 2,700 miles of steel and polyethylene plastic distribution gas mains and service lines of varying diameters between 5/8 inch and 10 inch.
