Provided by YP.comGreat service! I went in not knowing what I wanted to plant at my house. One of their sales associates was very great, walked me through the garden center and showed me all of the options I had. He was polite, knowledgable and answered every question I had. 3 years later I couldn't be happier with the shrubs, flowers and trees he suggested. I go back every year for mulch. It's an awesome place!

Provided by YP.comI'm kind of shocked by the reviews on here! I have been shopping there for years and have yet found any issue with their products! They're more expensive than Home Depot buy you get what you pay for. Most importantly their selection is immense :)

Provided by YP.comI am giving Russell's 2 stars mainly because of the friendly staff, otherwise it would be a one star establishment. I am new to the northern part of the Buffalo area and unfortunately had to move away from the nurseries that I knew well. I drove by Russell's and saw many cars and figured if it was that busy they would sell quality plants and trees. I was wrong. I visited many nurseries last year and ironically every plant that I bought from Russell's is dead one year later while all of the other plants and trees that I bought at other nurseries thrived. Also, the prices are outrageous. I guess I will stick to buying rocks from them. They will not die.

Provided by YP.comI purchased a 4' Vandrwolf's Pyamidal Pine in 7/06 for $164.99. I paid for delivery and professional installation. By August of '06 the tree was entirely brown and diseased. A rep from Russell's assessed the tree as being diseased but did not tell what disease it was or how it was that it died so quickly. In a conversation with the manager it was uncertain if they would replace it. But, a week later an employee disclosed to me that their entire shipment of Vanderwolf's were diseased and most had died. In a subsequent call to the manager, he agreed to replace it. In 10/06 the Vanerwolf's pine was replaced with a 5' concolor fir. I paid another delivery fee but it was professionally planted for a "nominal fee". By 5/07 the concolor was browning badly and not growing. A rep from Russell's found nothing wrong in the way that I cared for the tree, ie., watering, fertilizing, location. He did find burning on the branches that he said was from handling and shipping but that the tree would recover. By 7/07 the entire tree was brown. I called Russell's again and they argued that I already had had a replacement and my "quota" for replacement had been met. I argued that the first tree was sold to me diseased and that now the second tree had completely browned in less than a year and no negligience had been found on my part. After much dispute they agreed to replace it with another concolor. I took delivery on the 3rd tree in 9/07. I paid another delivery fee and professional planting was refused. By November '07this tree was also browning. Panicked, I called Russell's and was told that they didn't want to hear about another dying tree, it would not be replaced and refused to send a rep out to look over this 3rd tree. By spring of 2008, the entire tree was brown. I called Russell's again and explained to the manager but he would not listen only stating the same as before plus that I had met my quota for replacements. In looking over the warranty on-line it does not state a limitation for replacements but the manager asked that I not call again. In a conversation with growers at both Menne and Arbordale nurseries they state that it takes a very long time for an entire tree to turn brown and certainly longer than 6 months. It is my opinion that Russell's is selling dying trees and hoping most consumers will think it's because of something that they did. I did everything right. I shouldn't have had to pay for additional deliveries when the fault was Russell's but I did in order to be cooperative. I shouldn't have had to pay for additional planting but I did. Russell's does not live up to what they advertise (replacement) and wouldn't have with the first tree had I not found out that the entire shipment was diseased. The customer always pays the price! Don't shop at Russell's.
