Hancliffe Home for Funerals is located at 222 Ridgedale Avenue, East Hanover, New Jersey directly across the street from the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in what was once the home of Newark Monument Company. The land and buildings were extensively remodeled and renovated over a two year period. The layout of the building was conceived by Michael E. Porter, senior director and manager of the establishment. Mr. Porter, sons Michael Jr. and Scott and daughter Dana have worked with the Allwood Funeral Home in Clifton, New Jersey which was founded by the late Harold Porter Jr. in 1959.
