Provided by YP.comStarted good, then it all went wrong. And today was ridiculous.
We used Kasden for a few years through the CT Oil Co-op. Prices were great, and service was good. Later we asked for regular deliveries. A few months later, we got down very low, and wondered why we weren't getting filled regularly, so we called again and asked again for regular deliveries. After we were down to about 1/4 tank again, we decided that we could not rely on Kasden for automated delivery, my wife called to cancel service (about 2 months ago, 11/3/14).
Today a Kasden truck finally showed up to deliver - over 2 months after we cancelled. Now here is the kicker...I called to cancel again, and the receptionist kept insisting that there was no record of cancellation, and suggested that we could not have called to cancel, and was very rude.
It's one thing to make a mistake or two, but to keep screwing up and then insult the customer is beyond the pale.

Provided by YP.comNo WONDER Kasden is going bankrupt! Their customer service is off the charts horrible, and they run the business as if they were the only oil company in town. Well, they are NOT and I'm done with them. If you're looking for a reliable oil company, my suggestion is - bypass Kasden and look somewhere else. I am closing my account with them today. What a disappointment!

Provided by YP.comI have been a customer with Kasden for several years now. Recently, a service was done on my house that required the replacement of a part. I was astonished with the bill when I received it because it was more than double what I had expected, and I've had this service done before. When I confronted one of the salespeople, and finally, one of the managers, they told me that they DOUBLE the purchase price of the part. When I asked why they did this, they said that it's just how it's done. Before I called, I made sure to do the research on the part and service. The three competing businesses in the area quoted me at about an average of $330.00. Kasden charged me approximately $750.00. I made absolutely sure that it was the same exact part and the same exact service with the same exact number of hours. In short... I would not recommend any service through Kasden as a result of this experience. Please make sure to check out competitors pricing before getting service done. Expensive lesson learned for me.
In addition, the customer service that I received on the phone was tremendously childish. When I called them about the invoice, the manager was tremendously rude... almost like being defensive about something, when I was trying to be as professional as possible. He launched a tirade that covered his lawyers and bank accounts and the way that they do business. (I hadn't asked about any of this.) I finally just paid the unfair bill and promised that I would review this particular business in as many places as I could.
In closing, please do research with competitors if requesting service on your home.

Provided by YP.comI am a relatively new customer for Kasden. In the short time I have worked with them they have provided outstanding customer service and reasonable prices. I have had two emergency calls and my problems were quickly and proffesionally resolved.
