Provided by YP.comYou will be nicely encouraged to sign the lease by providing a good deal with great 1st month promotions ($200-500), lately you will find even other discount options to sign the renewal.
Then...
While the rent is large, the utilities bills are also high, the noise from walking neighbors upstairs (if you occupy the first floor apt) is high too.
If you are in the 2nd floor apt, you will be listening the noisy overnight parties with multiple guests (15-25 cars or so).
In the Sunday/Saturday morning you will have a rocking noise from the closest carting place.
The houses have very thin walls with zero-level insulation.
You will feel cool air draft in your apartment, even you too much for gas for heating.
Sometimes in late summer/early autumn you will smell a bad odor from the close fields.
Finally you will have some troubles after moving-out.
You found you were really bad residents, created too much damage to the owner and management of this blooming property.
Do ask them about sec.deposit, pay more for your damages!
Many people had law suites with them.
Somebody won, some not. (They have the judge in St.Johns which is friendly to them).
Beware such business; let them go bankruptcy without delay.
The manager and owner are tying to improve the rating of the property by putting the wrong reviews.
Do not believe them!
I can recommend to sign the lease with them if you are an accomplished lawyer; it will take your effort as a specialist!!!

Provided by YP.comSome reviews about HR (It's terrible place )
1.
If you enjoy having an active construction site yards from your front door, pipes bursting and flooding your apartment, management that averages a new office staff every two months, and a rental company that could give a damn about their residents, and you feel like spending $800 a month, then move on in to Hunter's Ridge.
We had an active construction site, with trucks dumping dirt within ten yards from our door. Of course management said they didn't know of this when we moved it. Figures. Because of the shoddy insulation, a pipe burst last month and flooded our apartment - it's taken ONE MONTH to fix the damage because a) the workmen only show up sporadically to fix it (and of course management doesn't even tell you) and b) they can't fix things correctly (they want to repaint OUR ENTIRE CEILING since two small patches that were not done correctly "look bad" - this entails taking everything down from out walls, and wrapping up all our furniture FOR THREE DAYS!!!).
I have already filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau - not that Atlantis Management gives a damn, but at least someone is complaining about Hunter's Ridge and their practices.
Seriously people, there's cheaper and better managed places to live in East Lansing - don't give these crooks another dime.

I echo many of the statements made below. I have lived at Hunters Ridge for a year and a half, and by my count we have been through at least 14 managers. One of the more recent ones was flat-out insulting and rude. There have been many floods due to sprinkler system pipe breaks - one that happened two units over from mine produced enough water to flood half of my second-story unit. The cleanup was handled inappropriately - I was asked to live for 3 days with 12 industrial fans and 120 dB noise in my unit. The contractors' heat fans damaged furniture and this issue has still not been addressed 2 months later. Management is rude and unresponsive, and the rents are considerably higher than local market value.
The only way they'll get me to stay when my lease is up is to give me free rent for a year... and even then, I'd have to think about it.

We had a few problems with the place before we moved out. But when we moved out we were lied to by the people in the office. They told us not to clean our apartment. I did clean it and they still charged us to clean it. They charged us to clean the carpets too. They also charged us for a bunch of stuff that they can not explain. In all they took our $250 security deposit and also charged us another $150. Do not move here the rent is too high for what you get and then they try to get more money out of you in the end. Our apartment was by no means as dirty as they said. Also the walls are very thin, the windows leak air and the insulation is not very good. They built these buildings cheaply. Also there is a go-cart track very near the complex and that is all you can hear all summer!

Provided by YP.comSave your money and nerves, folks, really, find a better deal.
The service persons of our former landlord (Hunters Ridge, East Lansing, MI) found the cages with two our small birds (prohibited by the lease) in our apartment, when we were out (in the hospital with our baby).
NOTICE TO QUIT TERMINATION OF TENANCY (dated November 9, 2011) was received by us in the middle of November (while a new 1-year lease just started); it told that we must move by December 08, 2011 or the landlord may take to the court to evict us.
We were no waiting for the enforcement, we found a new apartment for living, and returned the keys to the management of the landlord on December 1st, 2011 after the apartment cleaning.
Our security deposit ($500) was never sent us back.
In March 2012, the landlord produced lawsuit where it claimed “damages”, mostly the rents for the apartment.
The judge Richard D. Wells (St. Johns, Michigan) decided that we must pay to Hunters Ridge $11,627.33.
Despite the empty apartment was not rented for 9 months, the judge said that Hunters Ridge mitigated damages.
