Grand Cafe is an unorganized, inept eatery with mediocre food. I ordered 4 simple sandwiches which took literally one full hour to make. Utterly disgraceful! The place was fairly empty but the two workers complained they were so busy. There were 6 people in the place.

The two workers had one burner to cook from and seemed to cook and make one sandwich at a time. They need more workers and another burner! The male employee also disappeared for twenty minutes leaving the female employee to make my food alone. They were incredibly slow and took ten minutes just to initially take my order and another 30 minutes to start making the food.

They also rudely and incompetently cooked people's orders that came in several minutes after myself, because those customers said they were in a hurry. So, their four burgers were cooked while I sat and waited another 30 minutes. By catering first to customers who entered after myself, I was basically told I'm not important as a customer. All customers need to be equal, perhaps I was in a hurry as well.

The meatloaf was microwaved and dry. Even for $5 it was sub-par. The Philly Cheese Steak Special was below par. Steak was probably frozen. The turkey and roast beef sandwiches were okay. At the end all I received for my hour of waiting and waiting was a tepid apology.

Only good thing about this place was it's cheap. But even the price cannot make up for waiting an hour and mediocre food. The two person staff were clueless and inconsiderate allowing someone to wait an hour for 4 sandwiches then complain to me how busy they were.

Do yourself a favor, skip this place and go to Figarelli's or Meadow Dairy or Bagelicious or the place next to Taco Bell on Front Street and get fresh excellent food in 10 minutes with proper service! Grand Cafe is utter nonsense and except for their prices, a waste of time. If the food were better I'd be tempted to call ahead and try it again, but it was barely average.
