Established in 1969, Don D Shute Elementary School offers a range of educational programs to more than 220 students in kindergarten through grade two. Its syllabus includes English, mathematics, science, social studies, language arts and music. The school operates a parent club that organizes a variety of events, including holiday room parties, staff appreciation days, book fairs and carnivals. It also maintains a library and media center that stocks books and periodicals, as well as provides food services.
