I had the unfortunate experience of eating at this filthy diner on September 22 2012. I ordered a cheese steak sub with a side salad. The roll was hard, the meat was tough and the half-dead lettuce was drowned in dressing. The best part of the meal was the soda. I couldn’t t finish the terrible food not only because it wasn t good but my stomach started to hurt. I figured it was indigestion and went home. Later after returning home and resting, I had what would become the worst food poisoning of my life. Aside from the pain, I have never vomited so much in my life! Not to mention the uncontrolled, evil diarrhea that occurred at the same time. After a good 8 hours of this misery every 20 min my husband took me to the ER where I was treated. In the end my crappy $15 meal ended up costing me $800 and several days recovery. Will I ever go back to this dump? NO, nor would I ever tell anyone to eat here, unless they want to have diarrhea until they pass out. Clean up your kitchen and make your employees wash their disgusting hands!!

The Candlewyck has recently been remodled and the menu revamped. The food service and prices are awesome. One of the new additions is a wood burning brick oven for personal piazzas, this is a great addition for a diner

We just had an amazing dining experience at Candlewyck Diner....the decor is beautiful with attention to details with flat screens t.v.s ...a fireplace, beautiful hand blown glass, pedant lighting & comfortable seating...there is also a pizza oven, Italian gelato and a bakery display with an array of delicious deserts.... we ordered the salmon with fresh steamed veggies that came with a huge salad....the salmon was fresh & tender and the salad was delicious with lots of fresh mixed greens & cherry tomatoes. For desert I tried the hazelnut gelato and my husband had the German chocolate cake and both were delicious, the service was professional and friendly. Can't wait to go back with family & friends...it's worth the 25 min. drive from home. Agatha & Nick

They just renovated it. The food is excellent and the service is even better.Best Diner in NJ.

Very expensive prices, they overcook their burgers to an extreme degree, the waiters their are horrible. They must have personal problems because they talk down at you like your twelve years old. Most of their appetizers are more expensive then their entrees. The only nice thing about the diner is that its nice inside. Horrible time being there and i regretted being there.
