Services/Products
Something Catchy Charters~A Premier Lake Erie Fishing Fleet. We operate our walleye trolling charter boat, Something Catchy II, out of Conneaut Marina, Ohio. SCC Two is a Sportcraft 272. She can handle up to 6 people for walleye trolling. It is a very clean, well maintained, fishing machine. It has an enclosed bathroom (not porta-potty), the latest electronics, and a full arsenal of up to date tackle. We do morning and evening trips, 7 days a week throughout the fishing season. We are truly a full time operation.Trust Something Catchy to put you on the fish and ensure you have a great time. NEW In 2015, Something Catchy will unveil the S.C. Drifter. It is a 272 Sportcraft. In fact, it is the exact same model boat as Something Catchy Two. It is outfitted with modern electronics and a full arsenal of tackle, but without all of the trolling gear such as that found on Something Catchy Two. The thing that makes this opportunity unique is that the customers are directly in charge of the fishing. The crew will not be setting the lines out, setting the hooks, or pulling a rod out of a holder and handing it to the client to reel in a fish. You, the customer, are in charge of your presentation, hook set, and battle with the fish. Of course the crew is more than willing to help out if asked. Another thing unique to these trips is: We dont care what we fish for. Let me explain. On dedicated walleye/steelhead trolling trips, it is very labor intensive to deploy all of the lines. It is also costly to repair and maintain all of the tackle, pay a first mate, and lest we not forget the added fuel cost of running the engine the whole time. It is for these reasons that we have to motor out to the fishing grounds and stay tight to the school of fish to be successful. In order to break down all of the gear, reposition the boat, and set up to fish for a different species, such as perch, the labor factor and costs go up. This is why (on trolling trips) we charge an extra fee to (literally) switch gears and set up for another type of fishing.
