To all:

..it's easy, "hook-up" with the MD, and she'll prescribe you meds like you wouldn't believe. A "genuine concern" for you current needs and situation? Hardly....

Doesn't take Credit Cards, doesn't take checks, does't take insurance, ....HMMMMMMM.....can anyone say .....I.R.S. ..?

The shame of it is, that here is what the public perceives as being a kind, understanding mental health professional to a degree, when in fact in my opinion, it's her turn to get "paid" for all the time she has put in with schooling.

Undersatnding and realizing that "evaluating" specific needs of people and addressing those needs accordingly is what your job is Dr. Turnberg, ....NOT to write a script, keep patients on for years, spend 20 minutes with them, wish them well and take the next patient.

In closing, I can tell you all that my personal experience with Dr. Turnberg has been somewhat "accomodative" to say the least. Don't go to this doctor if you're looking to genuinly DE-TOXIFY your body, ....the pills she's pushing are harmful, can cause sudden death if stopped taking immediately and the worst part, ....is that Dr. Turnberg is USING that as leverage to make certain your appointment is kept.

reliable doctor, lets one heal one's wounds at home instead of hospital, physical wounds i mean, psychiatric medicine is just a concentrated tropical herb refined to a better form, and most are organic medicines, instead of metal compounds such as zinc derivatives. But nevertheless, a brain surgery such as ones given by Dr. Elliotson in 1800's in UK is superiour to medication. Dr. Elliotson got his teachings from proponents of Hippocraties of Kos of Greece, and the original brain surgery done by Hippocraties was known as Trepaning(Trepanning). it was used to relieve intercranial brain pressure in infants who needed it at birth(i never got the surgery done on me however).
