For food, one might be best to avoid this place. Had heard how good was Pub 447 via various online (fake?) Reviews. First off, I am a Bostonian by birth and heritage and grew up with real seafood. As a kid back in the 1950s, , it was my task to buy the fresh shell fish off the pushcart street vendors. That was clams and crabs that came right off Boston pier to the customer. Every Friday was steamer clam night. They'd all feast upon a huge pot of sweet hot steamed clams and crabs with melted butter washed down with local brewed ale. It was tradition that went back generations.

Though advertised and offered with an online photo to match, the so-called "steamed clams" sold by Pub 447 are some kind of fictional food dish. A large platter filled with handsome ample sized clam shells arrives at the table. Wow! At first appearance, the whole thing is quite impressive. Within moments however the weirdness becomes apparent. Within each large shell (except for the ones that toppled out) is a small undersized processed clam looking thing. The little objects are dwarfed by their large unrelated shell. They are gummy and tastless. It is likely that Pub 447 recycles and re-uses the previous customer's cast off shells for the next order. Thing is . . . no matter what this eatery terms the "dish", it is NOT steamed clams. The entire order which included veal parm with ziti and cod fillet entree was more disgusting crap. Will give more details on the rest of our experiece at Pub 447 later.
