We ordered a speciality cake for a shower and it looked great with the exception of the lumpy sides of the cake. It was a bit pricey for the size and shape it was but we selected Sweet Indulgence Bakery anyways. I was ordering this cake from 350 miles away and they were great to work with over email. When it came time to cut the cake I discovered that is was NOT frosted under the fondant. I still can not figure out how a bakery can sell a cake without frosting. The fondant was sliding off of the cake as it was being cut. I emailed the owner of Sweet Indulgence and her response was they use a crumb coating on the cake before placing fondant and she apologized that there was not enough frosting on the cake. Not enough frosting..... Really..... There was NO frosting. Some resolution would have been welcomed but none was given. The lemon cake had a good flavor but it was dry due to the lack of frosting. This is not the first speciality cake my family has ordered, all others have been frosted, this will be the last cake I order from Sweet Indulgence. My advise to anyone in need of a cake is to go else where. They are over priced for the product you receive.
