I've been to DGH and Easton Memorial hospital ERs several times. The service from the different doctors varies from very good to very poor. I been seen for kidney stones - 5 star visit, a broken hand - 5 star visit, severe UTI after an operation - 5 star visit, a broken nose - 2 star visit, and a wound to the bottom of my foot - 3 star visit.
The doctor of the broken nose visit sutured a gash on my nose up with anchor line. I now have the grand canyon where the cut used to be on my nose. I've had cuts on my face fixed in ERs before. You can only see this one on my nose fixed in Easton ER.
The foot was x rayed and cleaned only. No meds. Took 2 months to heal
One things for sure, you are going to pay dearly for their (or lack of) services. Whatever they charge, they want FULL price, not what the insurance pays!!!!! Been in a fight with their billing dept every time I have to go there. I have ins from when I worked in fed govt. So, by federal law, I get Medicare fee schedule rates. They still wanted full price after Medicare and insurance sent them letters explaining it to the billing dept. Took months, phone calls and letters to get straight, while still getting full price bills.
Go to an ER they don't practice at!!!

E-Room Robbed!! Over the Christmas holidays I go to a nearby hospital ER b/c all the DR offices and Urgent Care facilities are closed. Of the total 40 min. ER visit, of which 6-7 min. was the walk from & to my car, the DR. on-call saw me 10 mins...tops and virtually offered no help. Even the nurse admitted it! Got the flipping bill today...$440. This experience demonstrates heath care is a racket along w/ the health care insurance providers.
