Getting to know my patients and forming relationships is what brings me joy in my work. I believe that it is important to have an open relationship with my patients, one in which both of us have input. I try to listen empathetically while objectively evaluating their medical needs and conveying what they need to know in order for them to take part in their own health care.
I love taking care of all ages from birth until 103 (so far). The best part of family medicine is my opportunity to see many different things including well visits, sick visits, chronic disease care and skin procedures. This also means convenience for my patients as they can receive a lot of their family's care in one place.
My advice to my patients? Be honest with your doctor. Having an ongoing relationship with your doctor is good for your health. If you and your doctor know each other in times of wellness, it is easier to recognize when you are not well. We believe in a team approach to help with this relationship and when our team knows your family, we are better able to help you.
At home, my family brings me joy. I grew up in Bucks County but have lived in the Lehigh Valley since high school, currently living in Macungie. I am so lucky to be married to a chef and eating is a favorite hobby of ours. I have a son and daughter who make me smile every day. We also love animals in my house, and would have an animal shelter in my home if my kids were in charge!
