I have been going to Angelus for a while now. The prices are good. You have to find the right stylist. There are a couple I have had a bad experience with. Renelle the owner does have an accusatory attitude like its your fault if you call with an issue with your service. ( had a crooked haircut and a mani and pedi I got you could see through the polish and it was spotty) Might just a personality thing, She always seems a little angry. As much as I go there, i would expect a little warmer customer service. If you take that out of the equasion... I have found a stylist I like and she always does a good job and is a pleasure to work with.

I was disappointed with the services, to say the least



My pedicure: My feet sat in lukewarm water for 2 minutes before my toes were so poorly painted that I see my nail more than the hot pink color!



My manicure: Half of my nails didn't even get the color, they are bumpy and not smooth and aweful looking.



My facial: A mask was applied: no steam treatment, no pore treatment nothing.



Definitely will not be coming back there again. Even though it's "cheap" it's still not worth the money.

I have gone to Angelus at least 20 times in the past two years and have never come home happy with the services I have received, but I continued to give them a second, third, fourth chance and so forth.



My last visit was two weeks ago for highlights. I paid $90 for "Full Head Highlights". Here's what they resulted in:



Really choppy highlights, not a 'full coverage' rather only the upper and right side. When I pull my hair in a ponytail I look completely ungroomed and unprofessional. Not the look I was hoping for after dropping over $100 with the tip.



The coloring was completely off.



The stylist was extremely unprofessional and was 'rushing' because she had another client. She even told me this!



After two weeks, the color is almost fully faded and doesn't look better than day one.



I am sorry that this has to be my 'end' to Angelus and that i've made it public, however, if I can prevent anyone from wasting their money, I will. The worst part of the entire matter is the snotty attitude that everyone, from the owner Renelle, to all of the stylists give to their customers. Their paying customers, I might add.



Hopefully they can turn around and be proud of the work they do each day instead of throwing out 'deals' and expecting people to continually be disappointed with what they receive.

Given the old downtown, the history of the building, the hard work from the day of opening the place is a charm. Yes busy in service, quality of products from color, pedicure, manicure, waxes and massage have always been beyond wonderful. I have been going to the owner for over 7 years and wouldn't ever change. I always have been treated so greatly and respectfully. Happy to say I also go here! Don't let the bad reviews fool you, this place is a place to be going to!

While they advertise low prices and great sales, it's just not worth your time. This salon is neither professional or inviting. I honestly feel like they think they're "too busy" to take the extra time to make me welcomed there. I gave them an honest try with two cut/color service and a pedicure and either had trouble with the service or the results all three times. Once I was with a new stylist and I honestly felt like I was a guinea pig at the beauty school and that was the level of quality at which my highlights turned out at. Never going back.

I am totally shocked by all the bad reviews....I have been going to Renelle (The owner of the company) for almost 2 years and she is amazing!!! I can't say enough good about her and her salon! I have had so many complaments about my extensions and I am proud to say where I go. I have brought my mother and good friend there and they loved it also.

Yes, they are in an old building, but everytime I go in there she has redecorated something and it is so cute.

Keep up the great work! :-)

I have gone here for a few services and each time I have noticed that the place is filthy. Dirt in corners no vac done, old and outdated, toilet gross, etc. My pedicure lasted only a week and I'm scared to use the tanner given the condition. The fan doesn't blow air in the tanner so you overheat. I've given it many chances and it hasn't improved....I'm done! Yuck, do not recommend for your good health!

This place has been great for myself and my family. We have loved all of our services and highly recommend it to everyone. Those that might not of liked it as the ones listed below I am sad for. I have had the brazilian express smoothing treatment and loved loved it. I don't believe they do a brazilian blow out either. I have had services with the owner and her staff and they have been great!!!!! Cannot say enough great things!!! Rock on Girls!!!

There is a reason their 'specials' are so cheap...you get what you pay for. I went in for a Brazilian Blow Out, which was done by Renelle (the owner), not only did it not work, but when I called to talk to her about it, she told me that it was my fault!!!! When I pushed the issue with her, she admitted that she may have not used enough product and did not let it sit long enough in my hair.

We finally came to the agreement that she would re-do the service.

I emailed her a month ago to set up the appointment and have gotten no response back.$60 bucks down the toilet.

In addition, I waited for 45 minutes beyond my actual appointment time. All the while the owner and other staff people were in and out of the front desk area. No one said my appointment was running late or when they would get to me until I got up and asked.

I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED AND DO NOT SUGGEST THAT ANYONE GO THERE FOR ANYTHING EVER.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would.

I was sharing my experience with a friend, who had gone there for a pedicure and was left soaking for over an hour, my friend ended up drying off, putting on her shoes and walking out. A half an hour AFTER SHE GOT HOME, they finally called to ask where she was.

Ridiculous.

Do Not Waste Your Time!!!

This is a horrible spa/salon!!! Very unprofessional!!! Went there two different times and the place was closed during regular busniess hours. No sign on the door!!! Hours on the door are very misleading. Called to find out the hours and the owner of the salon was very rude on the phone!!! Finally went there for my service and the guy had no clue what he was doing and forgot to give me change back when I paid in cash. Also went for a relaxing facial and it was so noisy didn't relax at all. Do Not Recommend This Place At All!!!!
