In November 1947, DeBoer Chevrolet was opened and franchised with John W. DeBoer as owner and operator. John W. DeBoer operated the dealership until 1970. At that time, his sons, Robert ( Bob ) J. DeBoer and Clyde J. DeBoer purchased the franchise from him. In May of 2004 and November of 2005, the business was transferred from Clyde and Bob DeBoer, to Stewart Kreun, and Jerry Evink. Stewart and Jerry continue to operate the business, selling and servicing a full line of new Chevrolet vehicles and a large selection of used vehicles of all kinds. They also have a full service and parts facility managed and staffed by qualified GM technicians. In July of 2008 DeBoer Motors of Tyler was re-purchased from Tholen Auto Sales by Larry DeBoer ( DeBoer Motors-Tyler ), Stewart Kreun and Jerry Evink of DeBoer Chevrolet in Edgerton. Pairing these two companies gives southern MN one of the best selection of new Chevrolet, Buick and Pontiac cars and trucks along with over 125 used vehicles to chose from.
