Worst Customer Service EVER!!!

Please think twice about ordering from this Edible Arrangements store, especially if you’re buying a gift for someone. I normally don’t write negative reviews because I have spent years in customer service myself but my experience was so terrible that I felt the need to warn others. On 9/19/16 the delivery driver had problems locating her office and contacted her. By the time he figured out where he was going, my sister had already left work for the day. I completely understand why it was unable to be delivered, and so did my sister. They told us that they would put the arrangement in the refrigerator and deliver it tomorrow. Today, 9/20/16, both she and I were excited for her to receive her arrangement. She called me at 3:30pm saying that she was worried that she was going to leave soon and hadn’t received it yet, so she took it upon herself to call the store. They informed her that they tried to deliver again today but couldn’t find the location, which I’m not upset that they couldn’t find it but they should have contacted myself, the buyer, if they were unable to find the location. My sister said they told her they would put the arrangement in the refrigerator again and try again tomorrow, but at this point the fruit would be three days old and probably not very appealing, so she cancelled the order. I called to confirm the problem and cancelation. I asked to speak to a manager, to avoid further problems, but there was no manager present according to the representative. I spoke to her and told her I was upset about not being contacted and wanted to know what my options were. I asked for a refund instead. The representative on the phone was very polite and understanding. She told me that she would be upset about not being contacted also. She was able to make me feel way better about the situation and do what a customer representative should do. She apologized profusely. I told the representative that I knew this wasn’t her fault personally but I was upset about it because it was supposed to be happy thing for my sister’s birthday. The last thing I said to her on the phone was “thank you for your help”. To my surprise I had a voicemail not but 20 minutes later from the storeowner Brenda. I assumed, prior to listening, that it was an apology for the mishap, this was the first time I was contacted by anyone from the store. Instead she asked me to never call her store to place an order ever again (and trust me Brenda, I will not). Then proceeded to claim that she has the phone records and both my sister and I were contacted. I was NEVER contacted about it and would love to see the records. She also said that I was hostile and swearing at her representative. That also NEVER happened. She then stated that she would have me banned from ordering Edible Arrangements ever again. I wanted to call her back and speak with personally to hopefully squash this matter. I called, she answered, I said “Hello my name is Lindsey (last name)” and instantly she hung up the phone. I cannot believe the unprofessionalism. I have worked in customer service for over 10 years and never experienced anything like this. Normally, a manager/owner would want to get to the bottom of the situation and talk to the customers themselves before placing blame on any party. I tried calling back 2 separate times. I left one voicemail. I then decided to contact their corporate office to leave a formal complaint since Brenda refused to talk to me and the corporate representative was shocked and appalled by the owner’s behavior and apologized multiple times on her behalf.
