Established in 1993, South Texas BETA is a business, education and technology school. The school offers classes to students in grades seven through 12 and focuses on the career fields of business, education and technology. The students in the business program gain internship experience at local companies. The school s education programs offer hands-on training in the classrooms of local public schools. Students in the technology program research real-world technology problems and develop solutions. The school works in partnerships with the Ford Motor Company, University of Texas at Austin, University of Texas-Pan American, Stephen F. Austin University and South Texas College. South Texas BETA was formerly known as The Teacher Academy of South Texas and is located in Edinburgh, Texas.
