I called Abe’s of Maine in Edison, New Jersey to ask about availability of an appliance before I placed an order. They told me they had plenty of these appliances in stock, so I placed the order. They sent an email confirmation. They later called stating the item was not in stock. When I called Lisa at Abe’s of Maine she lied and said the item was never in stock, and that the man who told me that did not work there.



I asked to be put through to her supervisor Victor. He stated the person did work there but proceeded to lie stating Lisa had contacted all their suppliers and could not find the item. Victor was incredibly rude on the phone. He continually interrupted and would not stop shouting. He put me back to Lisa who said she did not contact any suppliers. Lisa told me to stay on the line. A woman picked up the line, would not identify herself and proceeded to scream profanity on the phone and hung up. I neither raised my voice nor deserved in any way to be treated like this from this company’s employees. I would recommend that you NEVER do business with a dishonest company like this.

I live in Saratoga, NY and there aren't any good camera shops around and our Best Buy's in the area didn't have this particular model. I didn't feel like dealing with NYC, so I called Abes of Maine in Edison NJ to see if they had a camera in stock; they said they had 2. We let them know that we wanted to make sure that they had enough in stock as we were driving down to look at it. We drove over 3.5 hours and when we arrived at Abes, the sales guy said he didn't have it. I was livid. I told him we just drove over 3 hrs to see this camera, he didn't even apologize. I told him I will never deal with this store ever again and would rather deal with the traffic in NYC to go to BH Photo. Whom by the way had the camera in stock and we purchased it. BH Photo always has what I need and has a huge selection of video, photography etc. I haven't been that mad in ages. Don't waste your time with other shops.
