James Monroe School serves the educational needs of more than 350 students and offers classes from grades kindergarten through five. The school offers instructions in science, language arts, English, mathematics, health education, computer science, social studies, arts and crafts, vocal and instrumental music, and physical education. The school focuses on enhancing the reading, writing and language skills of students. It organizes various extracurricular activities for its students, such as safety patrol, student council, chorus, band and school newspaper. The school s first graders host a Grandparent's Day luncheon. Located in Edison, N.J., James Monroe School operates under the guidelines set by the Edison Township School District.
