Joule is a service company that specializes in the outsourcing of non-core staffing needs. Joule supplies thousands of employees to its customers each year. Joule s corporate support services provide back office resources needed to meet client and employee requirements, including payroll, invoicing, financial operations and reporting, employee relations, benefits administration and technology systems support. The company s specialties include technical and creative staffing, industrial services and corporate support. Joule began its operations in 1965 as an engineering firm that designed and built process system models. In 1999, Joule acquired Ideal Technical Services, a provider of contract engineering staff, which is located in Mobile, Ala. With this acquisition, Joule's technical staffing group has expanded beyond the Mid-Atlantic region into the Southeastern region of the United States. In 2003, Joule acquired Wennik & Motta, a provider of creative and marketing professionals in the New England region.
