The Plantation Grill is excellent. Pleasant professional people providing wonderful food and service. If you like fried seafood, try Grover's Special Platter. The she crab soup is the best. Magazine Street Chicken is delicious. I'll bet you can't finish a Tuna Tower.

To update any prior reviews, as of 4/09 The Plantation Grill has been under new Management. Recent renovations to the restaurant now includes Grovers Seafood Bar. During your initial visit, our Team will strive to give you a reason to return again and again. I have eaten at the Plantation grill twice. The first time was in the outer seating area. The food was average and the service very poor. We were not allowed to make reservations and baically just told to stand in the foyer until called...both times. the second time we asked to be seated in the private rear dining room and though a little more expensive at least felt like we got something for our money. The food was better than average. I will try that venue again.

Our experience at The Plantation Grill was AWFUL. We were neglected by our server, waited two hours for food that never arrived, and never heard a single reason for why the service/dining was so bad. As a former server my family is very tolerant of not receiving pristine service at a fine dining restaurant, but this was beyond anything I've ever experienced. In fact, when we expressed concern over the situation our server did not seem to care. He never offered a reason for why we were waiting so long, never checked to see how we were doing, in the two hours we only barely got started on our second round of drinks. We had high expectations of good food and good service and unfortunately received neither.
