Provided by YP.comThe staff is okay. However, I had issues with my child being bit as well. I understand that it happens from time to time but the staff could at least act as if they care rather than shrugging and saying "I don't know what you want me to tell you..."

Provided by YP.comThis place is a great, friendly well staffed facility! My children attend and have attended for over a year now. I have never had one single problem there! My children have been on both ends of the spectrum. They have been hit/bit and they have also at one point or another been the one doing the hitting/bitting. I recieved a report and an in depth explanation about it EVERY TIME it happened. My children have attended other facilities as well and the same things have happened at those places too. Kids will be kids and will get mad and act out, it's only natural! The teachers are ALL friendly and I have had personal one on one conversations with each and every one of them. They know me by name and speak to me like an adult and a friend, not just another parent. You MUST check out this place for yourself before making your decision. Don't believe everything that you read! Go check the place out before you let some negative nancy make up your mind for you! GREAT SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WILL RECOMMEND TO EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!

Provided by YP.comDO NOT TAKE YOUR TODDLER OR BABY HERE! At first I loved this place and recommended it to everybody. UNTIL my 2 year old was being bitten repeatedly by a boy (who's mother works there) with an established biting pattern already, and I was NOT told about it. I had to ask that incident reports be written up after I showed them pictures of the bites. One of them bled and bruised she was bitten so hard. And it caused my daughter to start biting and have nightmares about being bitten. I complained to her teacher, the manager, and the director more than once and was blown off and told it was kids being kids. I made a complaint to DHS Child Care licensing and my daughter was expelled from ALA directly after. My daughter didn't have a single report in which she caused harm or violence to anybody else but she was expelled from school while the biter remained.
This place is supposed to teach and encourage our kids and by their lack thereof of solving this problem by moving or removing the boy from the classroom, they made an inncoent 2 year old child a victim of violence. Then punished her by expelling her and removing her from her friends.
This place is a joke. So for your child's safety, do NOT send them there.

Provided by YPmobileWow! After reading these reviews, it sure does look like this facility has a problem with keeping good staff, but also have a lot of drama coming from the parents. I was looking for a new place to enroll my kids but I am quite intimidated! Hopefully someone at this facility will set a good tone for the staff. Afterall the director often sets the tone for the entire center, keeping the staff and parents happy means they are keeping their kids happy. May god bless u all.

Provided by YPmobileMy son attends the pre K program at Adventure Learning Academy and he is STILL there. I have no intention of leaving this school. Apparently, someone else believes that they need to pretend to be me to write a negative review about this school. If you do not have the intestinal fortitude to use your own name to write a negative post, then you don't need to write the post.

Provided by YP.comMy child attends Adventure Learning Academy in the three year old class and I am also a substitute teacher at the center. The two teachers that "left unexpectedly last week " quit on their own accord with no notice and if they were soo great and loved the children soo much then they would have given a two week notice and would have told the children goodbye in their classrooms. Instead they gave no notice and gave no explanation to the children. I do not want my son being taught by a teacher who did not care enough to say goodbye and left without considering the children. I am filling in as a teacher for one of the classrooms that was abadoned and one of the students thought it was her fault that her teacher left. So to Ljkoen7978, if you want your child taught by that type of teacher then ALA is not the place for you. I say good ridence and the "ugly drama" is now gone. Adventure Learning Academy is a clean safe place for my child and I would not take him anywhere else. The director and the other teachers at the center care about the children and actually teach them instead of like most centers who have playtime all day and do not teach the children anything. I would have to say the teachers at the center now are worth something and the teachers that left weren't anything.

Provided by YP.comI have to disagree with the previous statements made by Ljkoen7978. My child attends Adventure Learning Academy and I would not take them anywhere else. There have been some changes lately in the center but the staff and most importantly the director have been on top of them all. She has done nothing but contact all of the parents personally (including myself) to let us know what is going on and how it is going to affect our children. Adventure Learning Academy is always clean, well kept and the staff is nothing but nice. There are some staff members who have recently left and from personal experience, I'm not sure that is such a bad thing. Weeding out the bad to bring in the good is a great thing!! The staff does have a lot of young girls who are nothing but friendly, well mannered and very great teachers! Go see for yourself! Adventure Learning Academy has a great director who has been in the business for many years and would do anything for you or your children!! GREAT SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Provided by YPmobileWhen I brought my son to this center I felt safe and happy with the environment. Things took a drastic turn about two months ago whe I started to notice the absence of different teachers. My son had two very nice and responsible teachers in the prek program and he loved them dearly. They left unexpectedly last week and when I asked the director what was going on all I got were lies and excuses. This isn't the first time I have felt like she has lied to me but because there were such dedicated and loving teachers there I tried to look passed it but not anymore. I do not want my child exposed to the ugly drama that seems to surround this center. The director is rude and completely incapable of telling the truth. The staff there now are young girls who seem more interested in gossiping then what my child is doing or has done. As far as I'm concerned the only teachers worth anything there are gone now and so is my son! Do not stop here! There are better places out there!
