Linguist s Software, a font foundry since 1984, produces and licenses professional-quality, scalable fonts for more than 1,900 languages for the Windows and Macintosh platforms. The company was founded by Philip B. Payne, Ph.D. from Cambridge University in New Testament Greek. Linguist s Software provides utilities that make it easy to type different languages on the United States keyboard. For Windows, Keyboard Switcher provides access to four characters per key and the ability to change keyboard layouts with a hotkey. For the Macintosh, AsiaScript, EuroScript and InduScript scripting programs provide appropriate keyboard layouts, and also allow automatic contextualization of characters while text is being typed in languages such as Cambodian, Korean and Thai, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Sanskrit, Sinhalese, and Telugu, Czech, Danish, French, Greek, Icelandic, Slovak, Tamil, Turkish and 20 other languages.
