Grotto Pizza is a restaurant chain that was founded in 1960 by Dominick Pulieri along with his sister Mary Jean and brother-in-law Joe Paglianite. Started as a restaurant with single location in Rehoboth Beach, Del., the chain maintains more than 15 locations in Delaware and Pennsylvania. Its restaurants serve a variety of specialty and traditional pizzas that include Hawaiian, pepperoni extravaganza, extra cheese, sausage and bacon. It also offers a range of starters, salads, desserts and pasta. The chain features children s menu that includes chicken fingers, meatballs, spaghetti, grilled cheese and soft drinks. Its VIP Club members earn loyalty points and special discounts on several food items. The chain s Mobile Kitchen unit serves hot and fresh pizzas on special occasions, such as graduation parties and charity fundraisers. Grotto Pizza funds over 700 organizations, including local schools and sports teams. It additionally sponsors charity events conducted by police and fire departments. With a location in Edwardsville, Pa., Grotto Pizza offers gift cards of several denominations.
