The Washington Area Humane Society Vision Statement Our vision is for all animals to have a valued life and a loving home. Mission Statement To provide shelter, safety, and care for the abandoned and abused animals of Washington County with the goal of placing them in forever homes. Important Facts: The WAHS is 100% funded by private donations The WAHS intakes an average of 650 animals annually and Offers life-saving services to over 4000 community pets a year including spay/neuter surgeries, low-cost clinics, emergency boarding, fostering, respite medical care, and a pet food bank. Over 350 abuse, neglect, and abandonment cases are investigated annually.
