Provided by YP.comOn thursday evening I went to the H2O establishment which is located to the left of the Haircut Place and I heard all kinds of profanity and screams coming from inside. Not only was the store manager screaming and making a scene, but there was also an older woman screaming and slamming doors. It's unbelievable that this kind of behavior goes on in a so-called business. I would NOT recommend this establishment to anyone. If this is how the store manager acts I don't want to know how the stylists will behave.
I completely agree with the previous review that the haircut place is more of a flea market than a business. Women screaming back and forth!!! All kinds of profanity in Spanish and in English were being shouted with no regard for customers or children that were being exposed to such vulgar language and behavior.

Provided by YP.comThis is in response to the previous review: Not only can you not properly write a review but you're also dumb enough to state that you are Diana's friend which presumably makes you biased! how can people read your review and feel like they've had a fair report of what the salon is like if you're just doing it to cover your friend Diana's as*. Since the last time I posted my review I have gone back and gotten my hair cut by a different stylist and may I once again state how poorly Diana behaves in front of clients. She has not learned anything since I last posted my review. In fact I don't think she gives a sh*t about the business otherwise she would have gotten her act together. While my stylist was cutting my hair I personally heard an argument between Diana and Becky. These 2 women seemed like they were bickering back in forth in a flea market. It was amazing how little manners and professional etiquette they had. It really leaves me as a client to wonder if the owner of the Haircut Place knows and realizes what a liability Diana as a manager really is? No business under this typer of circumstance can succeed. No wonder the establishment isn't as busy as it used to be...
And this is in response to Diana's friend: Maybe you're the one that needs to get a life and start paying for your own hair cuts so you can see why would one not be satisfied with the service Diana provides, because IT IS over priced. If I wanted to pay a couple hundred dollars for a hair cut i'd go to La Jolla not some oblique hole in the whole in Rancho San Diego. And Diana if you want to make more money for hair cuts you should consider getting another styling position in places like La jolla, Del Mar or even with your skills Beverly Hills.
ATTN Consumers,
Let me once again state that my issues are only with Diana and not the rest of the stylists at the Haircut Place. In fact she is the only one I find to be miserable, rude, conceited, and the rotten apple of the bunch.

Provided by YP.comTHIS IS IN RESPONSE TO THE BAD REVIEW THAT I HAVE HEARD ABOUT. I AM SORRY TO SAY U NEED TO GO JUMP IN THE LAKE. I HAVE GONE TO DIANAS TWICE NOW. SHE IS THE BEST BEUTICIAN I HAVE FOUND YET AND NOW I WILL NEVER LET ANYONE ELSE TOUCH MY HAIR. MAYBE THE REASON IT COST U WAS BECAUSE SHE TOOK TIME TO WASH AND STYLE YOUR HAIR. I WENT IN THERE WITH A MESSED UP HAIR CUT AND SHE TOOK TIME WITH ME TO FIX IT AND CORRECT WHAT THE OTHER PERSONS RUINED ON MY HAIR. I WENT BACK A SECOND TIME TO PUT HIGHLIGHTS IN MY HAIR AND IT HAS TURNED OUT VERY VERY NICE. I HAVE BEEN GETTING ALOT OF COMPLIMENTS FROM EVEN PEOPLE I DONT EVEN KNOW. SO YOU ARE VERY WRONG ABOUT DIANA. SHE WAS CHEERFUL AND TALKATIVE WHICH IS WHAT I LIKE IN A BEUTICIAN. ESPECIALLY, IF SHE TELLS YOU WHAT U NEED FOR YOUR HAIR. I'M SURE ALOT OF YOU CARE ABOUT THE WAY YOU LOOK. DIANA TOOK TIME OUT TO TELL ME WHAT I NEED AND SHE EVEN REMEMBERED WHAT I HAVE TOLD HER THE LAST TIME I WAS THERE. IT SEEMS LIKE WE HAVE BEEN FRIENDS FOR A VERY LONG TIME. SO LADY GO GET A LIFE AND STOP PICKING ON PEOPLE THAT HAVE A BETTER KNOWLEDGE OF HAIR AND THE COST OF DOING HAIR.

Provided by YP.comAfter reading some of the reviews on this hair salon, I am gonna have to absolutely and honestly disagree with the comments, at least the negative ones. I have been a customer of Diana for the past 10 years or so, and not one time have I been dissapointed at her job. In fact, many people, whether it's personal friends or strangers will come up to me and ask me how great my hair looks, and if I can refer them to my hair stylist. My personal opinion is that you get what you pay for. Diana will not only be honest with you about the hair style you choose or the color you want, but will let you know the pro's and the con's before hand, this way you wont be surprised when your all done. In other words she anitcipates you before hand, this way you have an idea at what your price range will be and what the outcome of your hair will look like. No one will make you sit in a chair and cut your hair the way they want, unless "you the customer" requests that. I have seen my share of customers going to her and her salon and asking for a quote and she will quote you according to what the customer has asked for. To me, some customers are fake and phony when they walk in there, they get a quote, agree, they still have the nerve to hurry the hairstylist up, and still complain about the price (which remained the same since they walked in). Diana will be honest with you and give you advice as to what is best for your hair. She wont just do the job knowing that your hair will look ugly, or that it will fry or break. I would rather have a happy go lucky hairstylist, like Diana, then to have a boring hair stylist who looks miserable and not conversate or communicates with me. I don't think Diana is vulgar or slutty like one review says, but this is the perfect example of a selfish, snotty customer who, because the salon is under new management, thinks prices and looks are gonna remain the same. If you have a good hairstylist, then stick with her, remember if you bounce from hairstylist to hairstylist within the same salon, not everyone will make you look the same. New management always comes with new changes. Diana has always done an exceptional job with me and I cannot say one bad thing about her work or her salon, but that people do take advantage of her kindness and honesty.

Provided by YP.comIf you're looking to receive a frizzy mullet from a predjudice lady speaking a foreign language while she laughs and makes you uglier than ever... come to this shop and be sure to ask for BECKY. When I entered the shop, Becky told me she would give me a spiral perm for only $70 all together. I have thin hair so I didn't think a perm was even possible on my hair. Becky went on and on about her experience and how she knows exactly what to do to make it come out perfectly. I agreed with the price and the friend I was out with left me there while she went to run errands, so I was stranded. Becky had me sit for 10 minutes with shampoo on my head while she cut someone else's hair before changing the price on me. She said it would be another $10 to pre-condition the hair and trim a 1/2 inch off the ends. I said very clearly, "So it will be $80 all together- and if I don't like it you will give me my money back?" She clearly and adamantly agreed that if I was at all unhappy I'd get a complete refund. I sat under the dryer with conditioner on for awhile even after it was off, waiting for her to do another customer again. When she got to me, she pulled out the wrong rollers - NOT spiral ones, but the old fashioned ones used 50 years ago. She said she needed to use those with my thin hair to get the spiral look. She was out of all her hair products and kept borrowing everything from the other stylist's areas, so I get the impression she just didn't own the right tools and was faking her way to a sale. After the rollers came out to reveal the extremely tight, kinky curls I had wanted to avoid, she started speaking in spanish and cutting away. I was very clear on not wanting a haircut, but she reassured me she was only trimming the ends. She was pulling up the hair and cutting above my head. I was so frustrated with her seeming inability to understand English and felt like she wasn't even listening to my concerns for so long that I kind of froze. I felt numb and confused when she overcharged me $10 more than we had agreed upon at the register and didn't realize what she was doing. I didn't even realize she had given me a mullet until I got home and my kids saw me. All three of them were either angry at me or just bawling in sadness and shock. Everyone, even people in the grocery store, seem to look at my head in horror and then have a look of pity for me everywhere I go. I called first thing the next morning, but Becky and the manager both had Sunday off. When I went in Monday morning, Becky was there. She looked like she was laughing at the mess she had made. She told me the manager wouldn't be in until 11am and there was nothing she could do because the money went through the store. I went back after 11 to see Diana, the manager. She told me that if that had happened to her hair she would be angry as well, but that Becky is a subcontractor and only Becky can choose to give me a refund. At that point, I expected to receive at least the $10 extra she fraudulently charged. I thought any manager who saw my frizzy mullet would probably refund every penny and fire that lousy hairdresser, but wasn't sure. I definitely didn't expect what I got... a rude comment from Becky - this is a direct quote - "I'm a lier, get a lawyer!" Can you believe that? The manager called the owner and he won't get involved either. This is the WORST cutomer service I have ever dealt with. I have a claim with my bank and hope to pursue fraud charges. IF YOU ARE A MASOCHIST WHOM WANTS TO BE TREATED POORLY AND MADE TO LOOK FOOLISH - GO HERE AND ASK FOR BECKY!
If you're 'normal' and want to stay looking that way, stay clear of this place!!!!!!!

Provided by YP.comI have always had my hair done at high-end hair salons and was a bit skeptical when I made an appointment to get my hair colored at this salon, but I thought I would give them a try. I was just tired of paying the outrageous amounts those high-end salons charge ($65 for color) and of course, by the time you leave the salon, you are looking at over $100 for a simple color and cut, in my case, a trim and a tip. It's outrageous!
The first thing I inquired about was the quality of the hair color that this salon uses as it is very important to me. It is made in Italy and is a great professional product. I did not experience any stinging as I normally do at the high-end salons. It left my hair feeling very soft and not hard-like at the other salons. I paid half the amount and the best part is the haircuts start off at $12! Lilian did a great job! Lilian and the Manager were very friendly and made me feel very welcome. My hair looks great and better than it did when I stepped out of the high-end salon I visited five weeks ago. Those days are over!
Try it!
