Lionheart Fencing Academy is an organization dedicated to training people of all ages in the art of modern swordplay. Fencing is booming in our area, with organized scholastic leagues at both the Middle and High School levels, as well as an active community of USFA affiliated clubs with fencers competing both regionally and nationally. Students who might have previously avoided traditional team sports find a healthy outlet in this ancient art. Extremely safe and dynamic, fencing teaches agility, hand-eye coordination, and tactical thinking. Our introductory program requires no initial investment in specialized equipment. State-of-the-art swords, masks and jackets are provided for beginners so they can safely participate fully. At Lionheart, we put an emphasis on the traditions of our sport, including the values of chivalryself discipline, respect for others and courage. Introductory programs are very affordable. We prefer small class sizes; between eight and fifteen students. Our youth program coaches are fully insured by the United States Fencing Association.
