Provided by YP.comI am so thankful for all of the staff at Villa Las Palmas Healthcare Center. My mother recovered there after a fall and fractured hip (needed surgery too). She was completely independent before the fall- went to church daily, volunteered at the pediatric unit at Kaiser Hospital and came to weekly soccer games to support her grandchildren. Thanks to all of the rehab staff and equipment available in the rehab room, she is able to walk again and back to being independent. Everyone was so caring and helpful at Villa Las Palmas Healthcare Center- from the receptionist, every physical therapist, all the nurses, social worker and the cleaning ladies. My mother would not have been able to have such a great recovery without the help of everyone at Villa Las Palmas!

Provided by YP.comMy mother, is a resident of Villa Las Palmas in El Cajon. I just visited her on Friday, June 7th. I found her well and well cared for. Since she has been a resident (now 5 years), I have been impressed with this facility and its staff. Everyone is interested in both my mother's physical health and her mental well being. Her various medical conditions are well controlled (one of the reasons she is there is due to her inability to monitor her medications and self-manage her diabetes) and she is actively involved with the many social activities available to her.
All the staff that I have met has been pleasant, well-informed, highly competent and very helpful. This extends from Bonnie at the front desk to the CNA's and nurses on her wing, to the cafeteria staff and of course to the Activities and Social Services staff.
As I was leaving on Friday afternoon, I met a woman in the parking lot. She asked me if I worked at Villa Las Palmas. When I told her I was a family member of a resident, she asked me a few questions about the facility. She was looking for a place for her husband who was getting ready to leave the hospital after a stroke. Without reservation, I recommended your facility. I told her about how ill my mother was prior to her coming - a number of hospitalizations, home care attempts, depression, etc. But since she moved to Villa Las Palmas, she is very happy and healthy and just celebrated her 92nd birthday. While the woman expects her husband to come home again after rehab, I told there was no better place for him while he completes his recovery.
They are taking such good care of my mother and I thank them all!
