Founded in 1979, Tehiyah Day School is a Jewish community day school that serves more than 300 students in kindergarten through eighth grade. The school s academic curriculum includes English and Hebrew language arts, mathematics, social science, general science and religious studies. It also conducts classes in music, arts, computer science and health and physical education. Additionally, the school offers the Judaica program, which includes the introduction of modern Hebrew and biblical development of the language. The school offers an after-school care program for students in kindergarten through fifth grade. Tehiyah Day School offers a range of sports activities, including soccer, volleyball, golf, cross country, basketball, cheerleading, softball, baseball, and track and field. In addition, the school has a library and media center. The school is located in El Cerrito, Calif.
