Mud Springs Trading Post is a definite stop each time I come North, from Venice,CA. I manage a minimum of 4 times a year and usually bring friends. It had proven to be a treasure trove, from country crocks to affordable Asian antiques. I have bought fabulous yard art and a great old butcher block. My friends, as well, have never left empty handed. Owner, Lisa, is both friendly and extremely knowledgeable. El Dorado is a great little town to spend some time and Lisa gave us a great lunch referral and directed us to other area treasure troves.

from sacramento the drive was 45 minutes to mud springs trading post. friends recommended the place so i went to check it out- the people were so incredibly rude i felt insulted and almost emberrased when i asked questions. unbelievable, i will never go back...horrible experience! waste of my day! i was looking to spend several hundred dollars -possibly more, i found whati was looking for elsewhere...i wouldnt have given 1 star but couldnt submit without...
