The Department of Community and Human Development works to enhance human services, expand housing opportunities, and improve the quality of life for low- and moderate-income individuals. It works with a team of more than 60 staff members. The department is responsible for improving facilities, such as parks, libraries, streets, and community and senior citizen centers. The Department of Community and Human Development administers the Emergency Shelter Grant program.
