Oh my God, where do I start? I experienced the worst customer service EVER yesterday when I took my car in to have the AC checked out by this lovely place called Need 4 Speed. After the $1116 estimate to replace my WHOLE AC system, I was told that there would be a $45 diagnostic fee if I didn't go through with the repair. I understand that there are places that charge a diagnostic fee, and one can make an informed decision whether (or not) to have someone look at your vehicle. This guy, Jerry, however, told me of NO such thing when I gave him my car to look at yesterday morning. His receptionist in the front NEVER mentioned it when I scheduled the "appointment" the day before. Their website even mentions of a "free estimate". This is the ONLY reason why I went to Need 4 Speed in the first place. After both JERRY and the receptionist flat out lied about mentioning the charge, I decided on paying the $45 for them to tell me something I already knew. I promised myself I would NEVER return. JERRY THEN decides to call me later, the same day, to make himself feel better by explaining to me the difference between an Estimate and a Diagnostic. This is the part that I thought was REALLY uncalled for.....JERRY further had the audacity to question my education level and accuse me of some sort of educational shortcomings. I was in disbelief! I have never been belittled or spoken to in such a condescending manner as JERRY did today (BY ANYONE). I happen to have both undergraduate and graduate degrees that I worked hard for many years ago. This is the first car I ever owned after I graduated from college. Maybe JERRY needs to not judge a book by its cover? Just because I like to drive a classic car that's over 20 years old does not give ANYONE, (JERRY INCLUDED) the right to act in such an arrogant, patronizing way! Beware! Beware!

UPDATE! The owner now has changed the website to reflect the following:

$45 Hands-on Diagnostic Fee
-AC, Check Engine light etc.etc.

Wow! I wish he would have put this BEFORE I made the mistake of ever stepping into his business. How convenient is that?
