Provided by YP.comI had a mechanic work on an electrical issue my son's car was having. He made a mess of it and the car wouldn't start after that. I had 3 other mechanics come out and look at it and no one would touch it. One mechanic took up the challenge and said he would get it fixed. Two months later he was unable to fix it and left it worse. Finally went to go pick up car from him and took it to Silva Auto Electric. Rudy was very nice and knowledgeable. He had it ready in 4 days! I highly recommend this place.

Provided by YP.comI went to several auto repair shops and only two shops had the same answer on what problem my Hyundai Veloster had so I chose Silva Auto Electric. The owner, Jesus, explained to me what the problem my car had and the cost to repair. I was very pleased with the service. I highly recommend Silva Auto Electric for the auto repair.

Provided by YP.comMy 1993 Ford Super Duty 450 truck was parked in front of our house this weekend & was hit hard in the rear by a neighbor in his suv. On Monday a Claims Generalist from AGI Insurance came out to examine the damage to my truck. The lift gate would not work & was damaged to the point it had to be replaced. On Wed. as I was driving to Utility Trailer Southwest Sales to get an estimate, I noticed that the alternator light was on.
After leaving Utility Trailer on my way home I stopped at Silva Auto Electric. Rudy charged the battery for 2 hours, and then he diagnosed the charging system. He found that a short in the rear of the truck had blown a fuseable link that provides 12 volts to the alternator. After isolating the wire that feeds 12 volts to the lift gate, he replaced the 14 amp fuseable link to the alternator. He then diagnosed the charging system again & the alternator was performing properly.
Rudy used a very profession approach to diagnosing this charging system problem. Many shops after seeing that the alternator was not charging would have replaced this $300.00 alternator. Then when it still didn’t charge would do further testing to discover the real problem, the blown 14 amp fuseable link to the alternator. Now the customer is charged not only for diagnosing & repairing the fuseable link but installing a $300.00 alternator that was not needed.
By going to a reputable professional shop like Silva Auto Electric my bill was $100.00 instead of $400.00, a saving of $300.00. I highly recommend this shop for any auto electric work.
