The Southwest Association of Nigerian Physicians (SANP) was created as an organization of like-minded members with the view to mutually support each other professionally and culturally and to give back to our new home: the Southwestern United States. SANP is made up of a group of hardworking, vibrant, community-minded professionals dedicated to providing patients with the highest level of care here in the border region. Clinical and career collaboration has been the mainstay in most medical communities and the Southwest Association of Nigerian physicians is committed to upholding the same within its group and within the physician community at large. SANP is a forum for our members to continue to integrate into the community in meaningful ways as well as collaborate with other healthcare members and groups. With over 50 physician members, SANP is one of the largest non-profit medical organizations in the southwest United States. Individually, SANP members provide high-acuity, quality healthcare to thousands of individuals and families living in El Paso, Las Cruces, and beyond. Their members range from academic physicians providing care and education at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso, the Burrell School of Medicine in Las Cruces, and University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, to private community physicians who provide a host of primary care and highly skilled specialist care in Las Cruces and El Paso.
