The store itself is very nice. They have a nice selection of instruments, bows, cases and accessories. They even have a great selection of violin music, which Capshaw Olivas does not have. The only thing I would say kept me from giving the last 2 stars is that for me (a far east sider) the location is very far. Also I purchased a violin from them years ago only to realize in my adult age that the violin is far to big for a small young lady of my size. I have a new more appropriate sized violin and I find it easier to play and work with. My teacher told me that my instrument from Kirk is indeed too large and he is not a violinist, and he might make all his violins a little bigger than they should be. I recently tried to trade in my violin back for some kind of trade or store credit and I was told I could only do it if I upgraded to another Kirk violin. No thanks. So now I am forced to sell it. I have also heard stories from my teacher about poor repairs made to either instruments that weren't worth the repairs or over charged. So go for sure for the music and accessories, but if you can get them somewhere else that is closer, save the gas.
