Provided by YP.comI am new here in Texas from NYC and I was looking in the mall to find employment. As I was looking for Hiring signs in the windows I saw a store that caught my eye across from Victorias Secret called Shine. I told my Fianc to stop and wait while I look around as he disagreed because that was not what we came to the mall for. While I was there I asked an employee if they had any open positions in theyre store for sales associate perhaps. I have great former experience working fast paced in NYC helping my mother to maintain her shoe store dealing with almost every aspect of retail including stock, sales, inventory... etc. I was referred to a man with a Hello Kitty stand directly in front of this store. He was a very nice Caucasian man with an accent that explained that his wife was the owner of the store and was in charge of hiring and if I could wait for her to show up around 7pm that she could better assist me. I waited from 5 pm until around 7:15 pm to meet with this woman. I approached the same man as a woman in a red jacket came up to him and said, Oh, can I help you? I said Yes I am here to speak with Mina. Her Husband explained that I was the young girl that came requesting about an open position. She then turned to me and said HOW OLD ARE YOU In a very stern voice. I was caught off guard because I assumed that here in America we would properly greet someone we have never met with a hello, whats your name? and maybe a hand shake. I do look younger than my age but still it was very rude to initiate such a conversation with such a tone and question like that. I have worked in customer service a long time and cannot believe that someone who would speak to someone this way could do so as well and on top of it own a business. Im sad to see that someone with a business here in El Paso would come out in such a mean way to someone they have never met and has never done anything to them. I came here to Texas to get away from the rude, angry, aggitated people of NYC and instead I fear that it is probably this way all over the country with the respect I received from a complete stranger today. When I told her I am 20 years of age she quickly replies Oh, well I dont hire under 21. Sorry! I had wasted half of my day for this horrible woman with an attitude as though I had done her so wrong when I did not know her at all. I have never heard of having to be 21 to be qualified for a position in a clothing store I have worked in high scale restaurants dealing with alcohol at 17! And dance clubs at 18. I am not sure what her problem was but I then felt uncomfortable with this rotten woman having all my information at her fingertips knowing she didnt even give it a glance and could possible leave it for any Joe to see. I sent my fianc to get it back and he did. She yelled in his face with fury saying she needs it! He told her No we probably need it more than you. And then she admits she threw it away in the garbage in the middle of the mall () He said to her Why would you take it just to throw it away? And she had no reply and requested him in a mean way to get out of her store. My Fianc is a much respected Sergeant Major in the base here in El Paso and is never disrespected, but I see that without his uniform he would receive no respect even when being respectful. Thats so sad and makes me so depressed. Now I am happy I didnt buy anything from that mean womans store or was offered a position there because I would never want to work under someone like this. I wouldnt advise anyone to apply for a position in this store if they want to be respected in anyway.

Provided by YP.comAll knock off styles of BEBE and many other high quality brands made with very cheap materials seemed to be all imports from china. I bought a nice dress that I had seen to be similar to one that I had seen in a Bloomingdales catalogue and decided to purchase. I don't buy many articles of clothing made in china because theyre usually made in sweat shops paying poor Asians low wages for theyre hard work. And when I asked more about that clothing in the stores by an Asian woman working there I was snapped at immediately! She was cocky and snooty to me (her consumer). I asked to speak with a manager and she told me she was the owner. When I wore the item I had bought a few days prior, I washed it and of course it came undone in the seams in the first wash!!! The articles of clothing look much more appealing than what theyre worth and the owner is a typical young immature unprofessional woman that doesnt know how to value her consumers (the way she gets paid!!) I WOULD NOT RECCOMEND TO SHOP HERE AT ALL!
