Elgin Middle School, a part of the Elgin Public School District, serves students in grades five through eight. The school offers classes in English, history, math, science, social studies, technology education, computers and life skills. Its library stocks a collection of reference books, magazines, encyclopedias, dictionaries, newspapers, and fiction and nonfiction books. Elgin Middle School offers various sports activities, including volleyball, basketball, softball, wrestling, golf, baseball, football, and track and field. The school provides membership for the National Junior Honor Society, student council, and builders and multicultural clubs.
