Dr. Jennifer B Abrams, D.O., FACOEP is the medical director and an attending physician at MUSC Health Urgent Care Elgin. Dr. Abrams has been a physician since 1997. Dr. Abrams graduated from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, NY. She completed her Emergency Medicine internship and then an Emergency Medicine residency at Saint Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, New York. Dr. Abrams worked in emergency departments for Beth Israel Hospital in New York City and then moved to Columbia, South Carolina, where she continued to work in Emergency Medicine as a partner in Carolina Care, mostly at Baptist hospital in downtown Columbia. Dr. Abrams transitioned to working full-time in urgent care as of 2015. MUSC Health Urgent Care Elgin is open weekdays from 7 AM to 7 PM and weekends and holidays from 8 AM to 4 PM. Our urgent care center happily sees all stable patients with medical needs. We provide physical exams, basic lab work, x-rays, DOT exams, occupational health, and workman compensation cases. CT and ultrasound can be available.
