Provided by YP.comOn Monday, February 2, 2015, I began discussing with Felicia a Chevrolet Equinox that was on their lot. After performing my due diligence on the vehicle I decided that I would like to purchase the vehicle and I scheduled a time to test drive it Friday, February 6, 2015, and meet with someone about purchasing the vehicle. In order for this to be accomplished I had to take a day off work and travel about an hour and a half to get to their dealership. On Thursday I was sent an email confirming my appointment on Thursday, February 5, 2015, and I responded confirming my appointment. On Friday I drove to Elizabeth City for my appointment. I even received a call from Felicia, while on my way, confirming that I was coming. When I arrived I was greeted, introduced to the salesman and offered something to drink. Felicia went to retrieve the keys. Immediately it became evident that there was a "problem", as she could not locate the keys. After conferring with numerous people, the car I had came to purchase was conveniently sold on Thursday. I however was offered two other vehicles, slightly higher price and not even the same make or model. I expect the 'ol bait and switch from a grimy used car lot, but not someone that is supposed to be a reputable dealer. I felt pressured and uncomfortable. I had done my research and knew what I was purchasing, but when that was conveniently no longer available I wasn't satisfied purchasing something that I did not want. So, not only had I lost a day of work, but I also lost the car I have been searching months for. If they had called me and stated they sold it out from under me I would have taken that better, but I was contacted by them numerous times for a week straight confirming I would be there and no one took the time to verify the car was still there, nor tell me I was wasting my time. Highly displeased with their level of professionalism.

Provided by YP.com**This is a review for the SERVICE Department at the Carolina Chrysler Dealer.
Short version:
- Poor customer service
- Unable to keep a schedule
- Incompetent technicians
Long version:
The first time I took my car here for a simple oil change, we scheduled a time and I promptly dropped it off and anticipated to wait the half hour or so until it was complete and then be on my way back to work. Wrong. They wouldn't start on my car at my scheduled time, and had no good excuse at to why not. They told me the shuttle could take me back to work, even though I work on the Coast Guard base, they assured me the driver was able to get through security and get on base. Wrong. We get to the gate and the driver didn't even have his drivers license with him. I had to bother a coworker to come pick me up at the gate, as well as drop me off back at the shop after work. I typically like to schedule regular maintenance for Saturdays so I don't have to take time off work for something so trivial, but this shop will not do even a basic oil change on a Saturday -- so tell me why they are even 'open' on a Saturday?? Finally I took my car in for something more, I told them all my concerns over the phone when I made the appointment and they said ok no problem. So as I'm sitting and waiting for them to tell me what's wrong, they come out and tell me that they looked at the one problem but they can't look at the other problem because that guy isn't working today -- it was a windsheild washer fluid pump, any tech should be able to look at that. Ridiculous. Don't waste my time by making me make two appointments for something that should be able to be done in one. Lastly, again with the basic oil change, the technician tightened the plug too tight causing my oil pan to crack and my car to die on me on the highway. I was towed to a different Chrysler dealer (I had already given up on Carolia Chrysler), and the new shop confirmed this was directly related to my last oil change. Carolina Chrysler ended up agreeing to pay for parts but I still had to pay for the labor, for something that THEY did, that ended up ruining my engine, among other things, and totaling my car. Save yourself the trouble and stay far away from here.
