I was so happy to fine a authentic antique furniture professional who knew his trade and had the tools, polishes, stains, and knowledge to repair 18th century furniture properly. The moment I stepped into his shop and saw the things he was working on and smelled the hand rubbed finished in process I felt like kissing the ground. After working with museums and furniture most of my life you get a feel for craftsmen and what you want to see in their shops. I had driven almost 100 miles and wasn't sure what I would find. I was delighted and even happier when I picked up my repaired rosewood sofa a few days later. The work was better than I had hoped for and worth every dime. Being the optimist I am I dropped off a table on the pickup. I'm so happy to know Munden's!

Had a 70+ year old desk that was my parents and pretty beat up. Mr. Munden brought it back to life. He has a gift and I would use his services again without hesitation.

I did a lot of research to identify someone who knew proper restoration practices for a mid-1800's piece of furniture that had not been taken care of and had been passed down through the generations. It was given to him swaying and barely held together. Mr. Munden took the furniture apart and put it back together using the original pieces. He stripped it and stained it based on what I knew from family members. He was patient, professional and would recommend what needed to be done. He didn't just do what I wanted, but what needed to be done to retain the history and value of the chest. His work was incredible and the piece will continue to be a part of the family for years to come.
