I was asked by family members out of state to coordinate the delivery of a floral spray to the memorial service of a loved one. We purchased flowers through an online company who subcontracted to this florist in Elizabeth, Colorado. I was assured that what I ordered would be delivered and that it would be beautiful!Three families went together to purchased a "Best Value" floral spray that we were quoted dimensions of (was to measure 55' wide X 62" height). The floral spray was to be delivered on an easel and was close to $200.00 in cost. Best value means that I upgraded three levels from the "good" level.We arrived early to be sure the floral spray had arrived. There was no floral spray. This florist sent a floral "arrangement" in a clear vase. The arrangement delivered was awful! I contacted the florist as her card was attached to the floral arrangement. The memorial service director told me the three arrangements were all delivered by the same florist and that was all of the flowers delivered. I began checking the card enclosures (that we paid $3.99 for) to see if one of those arrangements was sent in our name. I found the enclosure card that had our message and name on it and the floral design WAS NOT what we had ordered. The enclosure card was hand written (very sloppy) and did not include our entire message. I immediately contacted the floral shop. I spoke with florist/owner, Tina. She was quite upset with me that I wasn't content with the arrangementshe had sent. She stated, "Don't you think it's a beautiful arrangement?" I told her, "No, I do not. First of all; it isn't what we paid almost $200.00 for, secondly it was not a "SPRAY" delivered on an easel, and it was a floral arrangement, with mostly green filler. I am warning all potential buyers, DO NOT USE THIS FLORIST! The arrangement I ordered was the” Blessings of Earth on an Easel". The floral arrangement delivered was nothing like what was ordered. This arrangement was NOT a spray and there was no easel. Nor was there any type of floral bow in this arrangement.Buyer Be Ware! If an individual sends flowers you don't know if the floral shop delivered what you ordered. In our case Elizabeth Floral did not fulfill the order to specifications or even attempt to design a floral spray. I believe that floral shops should be required to send a photo of the finished floral DESIGN piece ordered to the contracting company to verify that what was ordered is what is being delivered!Not only were we upset that the floral design was not what we ordered but that this floral shop would send something entirely different from what was ordered.Where is the honesty and integrity of this florist?We were embarrassed at the fact that several families went together to purchase this beautiful spray and a little arrangement was sent in place of what we ordered. The actions of this florist hurt all other florists who work hard and strive to fulfill orders as requested and paid for. This situation has caused us to make the decision that we will no longer send floral arrangements for any occasion. We will donate the money to the families instead! If more people did this the floral companies would go out of business or change their practices to deliver the product that is ordered and paid for.This review is written with honesty and in hopes that those of you contemplating using this florist will heed the warning! Buyers, you need to be checking on the arrangements that you order and make sure, after delivery, they are what you purchased! Elizabeth Floral is not a floral shop that I would trust to take care of my loved one's memorial service!
