My first time trying it because it is local and also my last time. Much rather take the trip further for better service / food / and pricing. The girl helping us was fine . But I ordered a passion fruit Margarita that came with a fruit fly floating inside . The appetizer & main dish came out together an hour later. The food was bland . Congri was super dry . I asked for a water and she asked me if I wanted tap water or water bottle . Who drinks tap water ? And to top it off I got charged . The music was so loud we couldn't talk to eachother. Me and the waitress were basically yelling at eachother & me and my date had to txt eachother . The bill came out to $60 I've spent $40 at better restaurants with more food better service better alcohol and with a view of NYC ... Can't pretend to be an upscale restaurant in Elizabeth . To top it all off their poorly thought out parking lot had branches just laying around which another guest pushed towards my car and scratched my door . No manager on site some guy came and told me it would be ok just get it buffed out . Apparently he was a property manager ?? I don't know . Never coming back again .

So where do I begin. As soon as I walked in with my family(husband and two boys) we were not greeted, kinda got funny looks from the staff and finally asked if we could be helped. Uh... it's a restaurant, were here to eat? We wanted to sit outside in the back but were told that it was reserved to a private party. No prob. We sat inside. We placed orders and it was down hill from there. My husband and I ordered mojitos it took about 25min. to get. The bread for the table took even longer both times. Yes, they had to serve us bread twice cause that's how long it took for the food to come out. We didn't have one dedicated waitress just different ones at different times running past us randomly dropping of food at our table. None of the food came out together. By the time my son got his Churrasco he had already finished his yuca fries which he got like 10min before. The steak I ordered had to be sent back you could taste that it was fried to try and hurry things up. I then ordered a Churrasco and told it would be another 30 min. we've been here 2hrs. At this point a younger waitress (who seemed annoyed) apologized about the long wait and said it was because they had to cater to the party that was going on outside. Huh? Then a sweet older lady, I'm guessing it was the owner came over and gave the same apology about the party out back. We finally drew the line when we asked about the food once again and the young waitress snapped at me replying try to have a good time and RELAX! That was it for us... A 2 1/2 hr ordeal and only 2 ppl. We're able to eat. Long story short I've gotten better service on a flight to Mia in coach class! Basically they should just keep it simple like before, Classic Cuban. Rice,beans etc... No need to disguise like an A1 restaurant with an untrained staff that can't handle a crowd.

To expensive for the treatment you get and same'ol rice and beans you can get any where else for way less. Sorry but at the end of the day you get more bees with honey. :(

Food is great, ambiance is nice but the service is so terrible that I will not go back. I have gone a number of times... most times the waitresses are polite but just don't know the menu, are slow to serve, food comes out at different times for even small parties. However, the last time I went in a group of 6, the waitress was rude, service was slow, and when we asked for condiments they never came. After the third time we asked (food was already cold) the waitress proceeded to raise her voice asking for a second. Lastly, 2 out of 4 times, the bill includes items you did not order and there is always an issue with them removing it (owner stepped out, machine isn't working, etc.). Will never return.
