land surveyor doesn't know North from South

We hired this surveyor for a boundary dispute, however, he did not tell us he had a conflict of interest, that he was really working for the people trying to take away our property. He tried his best to confuse us, by saying a NE line was going SE, that a straight line is an angle of two lines, he even described lines backwards, i.e. a S 50 deg E line he would describe as a N 50 deg E line, which we had to point out to him that even backwards this line would be N 50 deg W line, not east. He, of course, did not change our survey lines at all, this was just all verbal. After all, he was not willing to forge a legal document, just make the homeowner believe they really did not have as much land as they thought they did. An angle of two lines that was approximately 102' from the south corner of our house, he was stating was a straight line, no angles to it, and went behind our house, (not south of it) and up a hill NE, not but 40' in back of our house. An iron pin at the corner of property had also been moved inward to accomodate this straight line, so it was not right on our house, and he did not even find that this pin had been moved, approximately 25', yet he verbalized he has been in this business for 25 years and his lines are within 1" of being correct. This surveyor even had the wrong birch tree, which was a property marker of ours between two lines. Well, this has all been disproved by another surveyor, no where near Elizabethton, as this surveyor and another surveyor (which will be reviewed also on this site) are completely dishonest. BEWARE consumers, watch who you are hiring to do surveys, if they try to confuse you by using survey lines backwards, if they only verbalize a line but do not change it on the survey and especially if your compass doesn't go the same way they say the directions go, don't pay for the survey, get them away as quickly as possible, tell them to go get their money from the party they really work for, and tell them never to step foot on your property again.. I would give this company and Mr. Pierce a -50 stars, that's how horrible this man is.
