Provided by YP.comthe complaints on this site date back over a decade. if you don't like the prices, go anywhere else and see what you pay. yes the matinee is no longer a $1.00, but I can't get a candy bar for a nickel like when I was a kid either. I love the palace, Don't know that lady's name but she's always cordial.

Provided by YPmobileI'm gonna give 5 stars because I can see from all the other reviews lead you to believe that this movie theater is horrible or something. Its an okay theater! I guess people just like to b**** when something's not perfect. So I give the theater 5 stars but I give you other reviewers 1 star and that's being generous :)

Provided by YPmobileI quit going to the movie palace years ago. The place, at the time was always dirty. Many of the seats were broken. I go to Keystone Cinema in Bardstown or Mt Washington. Always clean and comfortable chairs. Plus you dont have to wonder if the movie will be in focus.

Provided by YP.comThe manager of our hotel recommended Movie Palace. I cannot believe a movie theater like this exists. Very poor picture quality. We paid to see Oz in 3D and what an overwhelming disappointment. When we left the movie, there was not a soul to be seen in the lobby. It appeared as though they had closed up shop and forgot to lock the doors behind them. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone under any circumstances. Drive the extra distance to a REAL movie theater. Sorry Movie Palace, but it really is that bad.

Provided by YPmobileThe only theater in town, so it looks like they are taking advantage of it. Snacks are WAY overpriced... When this theater opened, you could see a movie during matinee time for $1... Now it's $6 - that's a shame an they haven't improved anything. I'll only go to this theater when I absolutely have to - otherwise, I'll drive the 45 min to Louisville and go to Rave. NOT reccomended!

Provided by YP.comI am very sorry to have to say this but my experience at the movie Palace in Elizabethtown, KY on 01/02/02 which was my daughters birthday was the most disapointing thing EVER!! I was there with my daughter, son, and husband to see "we bought a zoo". we paid $32 for the tickets then $15 for our drinks and popcorn. we gave our tickets to that one lady, she riped them in have and told us it was the last door on the right. we all found a seat and waited for the movie, about five mins later a woman came to the door at the bottom and started yelling at us saying that we were not alowed to be back there! As I tried to keep up with her and expain that the ticket lady directed us on back she continued to yell and say no one was allowed back yet! I asked the ticket lady to explain to her that she had directed us back, All she would say was that she was the manager and she makes the rules! when I finally had too much of being yelled at like I was her child I demanded my money back! The manager gave us $28 back when I asked for her named she just kept telling me "She was the manager"! Finally after the 3rd time she said that it was "Gayle" of course i asked Gayle what? And she rudly responded "I'm the only Gayle here"! Soo if any one knows the number to call the main dep. of the Movie Palace to let them know how their "Manager Gayle" is treating people Please let me Know! Thanks

Provided by YP.comI like the Movie Palace. Its is clean, the only place to see a movie on the big screen here in E-Town. Sorry I don't know the name of the lady that alway's takes the ticket, but she alway's has a smile!! The movie palace show's good movies and I don't mind dropping my daughter off with friends to see a show. The complaints I have are the price of food and drinks. I know you have to make money, but I think its very high!! I can pop just as good pop corn at home at a much lower price, much lower. A bag of popcorn is $.99 cents at the store. That pops a lot of popcorn. I dont mind not being the first person to see a movie. I have netflix at home and many DVD's. Its hard for me to pay as much for some popcorn and soda as I do for the movie not when I know the price of popcorn and soda. I also think they should monitor the theater for cell phones. If people want to use there phones, kick them out so the rest of us can enjoy the movie!!!!!

Provided by YP.comWe have been going to this theatre ever since the first Harry Potter movie came out and have enjoyed ourselves every time. I really like how they now have their listings on here. I only have one suggestion..... Instead of only having todays listing why not have upcoming shows and when you might expect them? My boys are really looking forward to seeing a certain movie and if we know when it's coming I won't be badgered with "is it there yet?":} JUst one more thing... I totally LOVE the fact that when I look at the listings almost all of them are G or PG ratings so my family and I have more choices....KUDOS to Movie Palace!!!!!!!
