I became courageous and ordered a special birthday cake from Jarosch Bakery without ever tasting any of their baked goods. Sometimes you get lucky. Not only was the cake good but it was a novelty cake that was a pretty difficult design (as seen on those cake shows). It was so beautiful, just perfect...too perfect to slice into. The guest of honor was floored and everyone oohed and aahed. You cannot go wrong with this bakery. I will be back for more!!

I visited this bakery on Wednesday, November 12, 2008, at approx. 10:00 a.m.. The people were very friendly, and the bakery was inviting and smelled amazing (you'd be surprised at the number of bakeries that do not smell all that pleasant). My purchase consisted of a vanilla long john (not filled) and a decorated pumpkin sugar cookie. Although I normally do not like unfilled long johns, this one was amazing! It was fresh and extremely moist and flavorful. The pumpkin cookie was really good, too. The price was $2.17 with tax, and they accept all forms of payment. I will definitely return!

This is the best bakery in the Northwest suburbs.

This bakery is an institution, I have been taken here since I was a child. Everything from their cakes to their butter cookies are extremely delicious.
